Meet Eddie
 



As a former tobacco farmer, family man, and lifelong Tennessean, Eddie Yokley lives by the values that make our community special: responsibility, respect and integrity and doing right by your neighbors. Throughout his life he has worked to honor those values. As a veteran, a father and a public servant, he always tries to set the right example and give back to the community that has given him so much though out his life.

Facts About Eddie:

  • Married to his wife Carolyn for 31 years. They have two sons, Tyler and Jordan.
  • Southern Baptist
  • Graduate of South Greene High School
  • B.S. Degree from East Tennessee State University by using the G.I. Bill.
  • Eddie is a United States Army, Vietnam-era, Veteran. He served in the 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, KY. He was with the 101st Military Intelligence Company as an Intelligence Photo Interpreter and served as Airborne Paratrooper.
  • Real Estate Broker, Auctioneer, and part-time farmer.
  • Has been a member of the 103rd through 106th Tennessee General Assemblies
  • Served as Greene County Property Assessor from 1992-2004.

  • 2004 Greeneville Greene County Boys and Girls Club Extra Mile Award
  • 2003 Legislator of the Year Boys and Girls Club of Tennessee
  • 2002 Recognition by the Modern Woodmen of America for Public Service
  • Designated a Certified Public Administrator in 1999 by the UT Institute for Public Service
  • Designated a Tennessee Certified Assessor by the State Board of Equalization
  • Selected one of the Top 10 Jaycee Presidents in Tennessee (4th Quarter 1989)
  • Greeneville Realtor of the Year (1984 and 1986)
  • Past Discom Soldier of the Month, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky
